Haiku in Business conversations and its effect

To give one recent example, two weeks back, i had a meeting with a client (MD of a company). He was unable to see or comprehend the problem that the departments are operating in silos & slabs and how that is affecting the bottom line. i tried to communicate the idea for about 30 minutes in the traditional business lingo and jargon but i failed to get the point across. Then i expressed the concept in Haiku, which went like this: Departments are colored bubblesMoving very close to each other…See More

Welcome to Haikugami, the New School of Business Poetry

Haikugami, is a sense-making tool that.

* reveals how quickly ideas can emerge, flow and make sense from the collective conscious in any cultural, social or political context
* synthesizes moments of outcome through a collaborative methodology whilst removing the constraints of the personal
* delivers truth in response to a question or challenge in an organizational context as the thinking in response to the challenge or question is captured spontaneously and anonymously.

Haikugami does away with the meaningless workshop/ speaker feedback surveys that provide an assessment on a scale, say 3.77 out of 5 - an assessment that is devoid of sincerity, revelation, certainty and meaning.

Haikugami facilitates the collective conscious by offering an aesthetic mirror to the truth!!

The first Haikugami presentations took place during 2006 at the Australian Institute of Company Directors Annual Conference; Gold Coast Queensland; a launch of the Australian Public Relations Institute, Sydney and with an audience of 1500 at the closing ceremony of the Australian Association of Career Counselors at Star City Casino, Sydney, Australia. Deloitte Australia used Haikugami to create its mission statement for its newly launched digital division in 2007.

How To Present Haikugami
